This coalition represents U.S. school bus manufacturers, operators and suppliers, whose school buses transport over 25 million kids to and from school safely every day. Our coalition manufactures approximately 98% of all school buses in operation in the United States and all of our school buses are manufactured in Georgia, Oklahoma, North Carolina, West Virginia and California.
Our coalition manufacturers and operates diesel, gas, propane and electric school buses and we believe in an all of the above energy approach. School districts and their private sector transportation contractors across America today mainly use diesel school buses, but our industry is seeing very high demand from school districts for our electric school buses.
Our goal is to ensure business certainty for our coalition’s manufacturers and transportation contractors by continuing current bi-partisan legislative programs at the federal and state level. Our mission is to promote the benefits of electric school buses both for the children who ride them, and for the communities who benefit from good-paying manufacturing and operational jobs, and to use these electric school buses to help our nation’s grid resiliency.

Electric buses have a smoother, quieter ride that improves student behavior and is particularly beneficial for students with sound sensitivities. This creates a quiet ride and a more calming environment to and from school, helping with driver retention, which is the single largest problem facing school transportation today.
